This notice explains how personal data is handled when you request or make a direct booking for Balaia Golf Village 263.

1. Data controller

The controller is Bruno Gonçalves Rocha Unipessoal Lda, operator of Balaia Golf Village 263 (Alojamento Local 18643/AL). Privacy requests may be sent to book@bgv263.com.

2. Data we collect

• Booking-request details: name, email address, telephone number, requested dates, number of guests and your message.
• Reservation and communication records, including agreed price, payment references and correspondence.
• After confirmation, information legally required for invoicing, check-in and guest reporting.
• Limited technical information needed to operate and secure the website, such as server logs, device or browser information and language preference.

Please do not place payment-card numbers, identity-document images or other sensitive information in the free-text message field.

3. Purposes and legal bases

• To answer a request, verify availability and take steps before entering a booking contract.
• To manage a confirmed stay and perform the accommodation contract.
• To meet legal obligations relating to invoicing, taxation, guest registration and competent authorities.
• To protect the website, prevent fraud, resolve disputes and provide support based on legitimate interests.

Booking data is not used for unrelated advertising and is not sold.

4. Who may receive the data

Data is shared only where necessary with service providers supporting hosting, email, website security, translation, payment processing and administration, and with public authorities where disclosure is legally required. Each provider receives only the information needed for its role.

5. Payments

This website does not collect or store complete payment-card details. Payment is made in the secure Stripe checkout on this website, and Stripe processes the payment data under its own privacy information.

6. International transfers

Some technical or translation providers may process limited data outside the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, the provider must rely on an applicable legal transfer mechanism and safeguards. Further information may be requested using the contact above.

7. Retention

• Requests that do not become bookings are deleted or anonymised within 12 months after the last relevant contact.
• Confirmed reservation, invoicing and legally required guest records are retained for the periods required by Portuguese law and for the establishment or defence of legal claims.
• Technical security logs are retained only for the period reasonably required for security and troubleshooting.

8. Your rights

Subject to the conditions in the GDPR, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing. Where processing relies on consent, consent may be withdrawn without affecting earlier lawful processing. Requests should be sent to book@bgv263.com. We may request information needed to confirm your identity and will respond without undue delay, normally within one month.

9. Cookies and external services

The site may use essential technical storage and a language-preference service. Opening links to Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo, Google Maps or another external provider takes you to that provider, whose own privacy and cookie information then applies. Non-essential analytics or advertising cookies will not be introduced without an appropriate consent mechanism.

10. Security

Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to limit unauthorised access, loss or misuse. No internet transmission is completely risk-free, so guests should use the booking form only for the information requested.
